The Empress tarot card meaning
Major Arcana · Earth · Venus · Yes or no: yes
The Empress upright
Keywords: abundance, nurturing, creativity, beauty, growth
This card points to a season of growth and comfort. It asks you to tend what you love and to let yourself enjoy the senses, the garden, the table. Creation of every kind flourishes when it is cared for with patience.
The Empress reversed
Keywords: smothering, creative block, neglect of self
Reversed, the Empress hints at care that has tipped into control, or a well that has run dry from giving. It asks you to notice whether you have been nurturing everyone but yourself. Growth needs rest as much as it needs effort.
The Empress in love
Upright: Warmth, generosity and physical affection are easy to give and receive right now.
Reversed: Giving too much or depending too heavily can wear on a bond, so look for a fairer balance.
The Empress for career and work
Upright: Projects you have been feeding are ready to bear fruit, and creative work is especially favored.
Reversed: A creative block or a feeling of being stretched thin suggests it is time to replenish before you produce.
